I do have a gamepad connected lol. I've never had it cause an issue before now though.

You are right it shouldn't but that's the kind of things that happen when you write a game from scratch in 2 days ;)

What is your OS, GPU and let me know what error message you see on the console.

EDIT: Did the GPU fix version available in the description above take care of the issue?

oh, no problem, it's just that my screen stayed black and didn't do anything, but weeks later I tried again and it worked for me :3
